In my specific case, the good thing about it is that I could take new students in those free hours that, generally, nobody wants to take. The first thing that surprised me of TheTiebreakers was how fast I can find people to play. It all has to do with the way the invitation mechanism works, because once you enter your time, day, location preferences and your level, the system immediately gathers your data and displays all the tennis players that match your data - or are the closest to the data you entered. Working in a large company allowed me to reconnect with my passion, which I had kept in my closet since my graduation days.
Of course, I’m talking about tennis and that is why I’m dropping these lines here! The matter of the fact is that several coworkers of mine play tennis often and, as soon as I got to know this, I joined the team. I even took one step further, and I came up with the idea of taking it seriously and participating in the USTA leagues. (more…)

It’s often said that moving out is one of the main causes of stress for any person. As far as I’m concerned, the truth is that I could live for months surrounded by unpacked boxed and most of my furniture piled up in one room. None of that worries me that much. But there is one thing that gets on my nerves every time I have to move out, which happens quite often, and it’s not knowing whether there will be a decent tennis court at a reasonable distance from my new home.
