Tennis advice from the pro Jesse Witten

We recently interviewed professional tennis players Jesse Witten. Witten has a big forehand and talks about constructing points around this shot. He also has a GREAT TIP about when to change the direction of the tennis ball during a cross court rally and hit down the line. This is something you can implement the very next time you play and all it requires is court awareness.

The Importance of Strings

Strings are the only part of our gear that touches the ball during play. There are many resources on the web that do a fine job of describing the different string types and their physical properties so there’s no sense in rehashing the basics of that information. What I hope to do is to explain in greater depth some of the finer points of string technology and science, provide some examples that help explain areas that seem to confuse many people, and show how we can then use this information to make choices to best help our tennis abilities. Hybrids are everywhere today, as designers and scientists blend the best qualities of two products into one. From cars with a combination of combustible fuel and electricity to golf clubs that have elements of irons and woods to dogs crossbred to mix non-shedding qualities and outgoing personalities, every industry seems to be going hybrid.
