How to play more tennis?

Find a tennis partner.

I think that the most difficult part of tennis is that it takes two to play. It is relatively simple to find someone that feel like playing. But if that this person does not play much better, or much worse, that is another matter; not to mention the dilemma to agree on a day and time.

I won´t say that it is not easier for some other people, for example, those who live in a neighborhood or condo and have the tennis court and the opponents just a few meters from their house. In fact, with my high school friends and a cousin of mine, a racket fan, I used to manage it perfectly well. But almost all of my old-time friends are married and very busy with their wives and kids. And what was I supposed to do now that my good cousin moved 400 miles away from home?

Internet gave me the answer I was looking for. To be more specific, TheTiebreakers.com gave me the solution, a web site dedicated to connecting people that wants to play tennis and help them schedule matches. The Tiebreakers is a great problem-solver.

You just have to enter the times and days you want to play (you can enter several combinations and also the neighborhood, or the court), together with the level of play, and the system will display all the players that match your level and that are closest to the availability you entered.

And best of all, it works: I´ve already played lots of matches since I subscribed, and together with 5 other players that we met at TheTiebreakers.com, we have even created a tennis group, which is a feature offered by the system to better organize yourself with people you already know.

And talking about friends… I invited some of my old school mates to try the system. It´s very simple, you just have to enter an email address, and click “invite a friend”. It turned out that some of them were not that busy or out of shape as I thought!
